No matter where we live, or what our professional roles may be, there are many shared experiences to which we all can attest. One of those universal truths in today’s world: there is so much content out there, it can be overwhelming.
With the internet at our disposal 24/7, social media feeds always waiting to be refreshed and companies inundating us with emails and digital offers, it can be quite a challenge to cut through the noise and capture people’s attention unless you give them exactly what they are looking for.
That’s what we are aiming to do with our revamped @ISACA e-newsletter, beginning with today’s edition. Fortunately, we didn’t have to guess what you are looking for – you told us through member surveys, and your input is the driving force behind what you see in @ISACA today and going forward.
For starters, and in recognition of the way we all are bombarded with so much content these days, we have folded our @A Glance publication into @ISACA. You will still be kept up to date on timely ISACA resources and upcoming events in @ISACA, which will be delivered each Wednesday beginning today. Additionally, we will further streamline our content by having the fourth edition of each month be exclusively security-focused: @ISACA.Security. This will allow us to sunset the monthly Nexus e-newsletter.
Now, on to the really good stuff that you will notice in the new @ISACA – also based off our members’ expressed preferences. Along with a sleeker, updated design, new elements of @ISACA will include:
- More clearly identified opportunities to gain CPEs
- Sharper focus on industry thought leadership
- Regular career guidance from leading industry recruiters in IT audit, GRC and information security, including for rising professionals new to our career fields
- More updates from ISACA leaders (like this one!) on how ISACA is working to support our global professional community
- Additional multimedia components: videos, podcasts, webinars and more
- Weekly highlights connecting readers to some of the hot topics being discussed on ISACA’s Engage platform
You can also look for short notes from ISACA CEO David Samuelson in each edition, introducing the week’s content with his own personal twist.
The bottom line: beginning this week, @ISACA will provide more of what you have told us you are looking for and less of what you are not, all while reducing the number of publications that have been crowding your already-crowded inbox.
While we hope you are as enthused about these changes as we are, we’re not done listening. Share your feedback on our new approach using the survey link toward the bottom of this edition, or drop the ISACA Communications team a note to share your thoughts. Your input is appreciated and necessary for us to deliver the content that will help you be at your best.
Enjoy the new @ISACA!
